An interactive workshop for parents, caregivers, educators and/or pediatric professionals. Participants will learn strategies to improve positive behaviors with use of engaging, developmentally-appropriate visual tools that reduce use of excessive verbal prompting. Participants will learn techniques to adapt and modify visual tools into individualized, child-centered behavior management resources, and help children develop self-regulation and conflict resolution skills.

Presenter, Christina Connors, OTR/L is an Occupational Therapist with 18 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents and adults with physical, cognitive and pyschosocial conditions in healthcare, home care and educational settings. Ms. Connors was originator of Get Well Maps and Educational Maps, tools and programming that she created in partnership with artist John Donato, following her son’s traumatic medical experience and recovery.
