Allison is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Education from James Madison University in 2001 and a Master’s degree in Counseling from Arizona State University in 2005. During her career as an educator and counselor, Allison has gained experience working in a variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient agencies, homes, homeless shelters, hospitals, schools, summer camps, and now private practice. She began her counseling career working for Delaware Hospice where she specialized in grief and loss. She then transitioned to Delaware Guidance Services for several years where she became experienced in crisis intervention, PCIT, and the treatment of a variety of mental health diversities including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and Autism. Allison has a passion for helping others and believes strongly in the power of the therapeutic relationship in creating positive change.
