O24U: Self-Care for Caregivers of Children
February 13 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Know how the airlines always remind us to place our own oxygen mask on before assisting a child or loved one with special needs?
In order to provide healthy, positive care for others, it is imperative that parents and caregivers attend to their own wellness needs. We are calling parents and caregivers that are in need of an oxygen boost: “O2 4U”! Join us (and invite your friends-in-need) at the Lewes Public Library on Second Tuesdays at 6:30PM for this FREE workshop for parents and caregivers. Child Inspired’s Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Allison Veith will educate us on wellness strategies that can be integrated into our daily interactions and routines. Hiba Melhem Stancofski, Yoga & Mindfulness Teacher and Author of “I Feel Better Now” will then guide us through therapeutic mindfulness practices to enhance our physical and mental wellness. SoDel Concepts has also graciously donated a gift certificate to be raffled to our participants at the end of the program! Children are welcome to participate in a fun activity with Child Inspired’s family educators (in a separate space), while caregivers engage in a therapist-facilitated wellness activity.
