Tools for Tots: Picky & Distracted Eaters

Join us at the Lewes Public Library immediately after Children’s Story Time, for this FREE workshop to learn healthy, developmentally-appropriate tips and strategies that will help little ones embark positively into community experiences “Around Town”. Child Inspired’s therapy team will provide information while children are invited to participate in a hands-on, learning activity themed to each month’s “Around Town” topic.

November- “Picky & Distracted Eaters”: Developing Healthy Eating Habits and Behaviors at the Table… Eating is more than a necessary task to fuel our bodies. Eating at the table with family and friends is where relationship building and cultural connection occurs. It is where we can explore a variety of tastes and textures, and communication exchanges are made with others. Lots of kiddos have difficulty trying new or different foods, and many struggle just to keep their wiggly bodies seated for long enough to participate in snack and mealtimes. Join Child Inspired’s pediatric therapists to learn positive tips and strategies to support kiddos (and their caregivers) at the table. Kids will have an opportunity to explore playful food art activities and prepare a fun, seasonal make-and-take.
